Separate Me

By Charles Martin | January 15, 2008

Thinking about my ol’ friend Gladwell today on the freeway and wondering how separated I am from the rest of the fools that roll the so-cally roads. It’s true though that if you commute or even drive to and from home once a day to work, school or the golf course, you are riding with many of the same exact folks. This could be going on for years but you aren’t connecting.

I remember once way back when I was riding with a +handsome friend of mine and he got a date on the freeway as we moved at 70. He connected — literally.

How many customers and buyers of your product are you sharing space with but not connecting? How many prospects and people that want your product are looking you in the eye on a daily basis but you aren’t doing anything about? As you ride the big mixmaster, think about it and reach out next time you’re in that elevator.
