Airport Extreme finally works with external drives

By Charles Martin | March 21, 2008

If you read my post from way back about the backing up with external drives like MyBook from WD through Airport Extreme, then you know the frustrations we all have had trying to make it flawless. It has been bricking your router and the traffic kills the deal. As of Wednesday, Apple silently released 7.3.1 for Airport Extreme. If you talk with TUAW you find that most people think this is a Steve Jobs -Job. In other words, it always worked but after too much bad press, he let the dogs out. The Hothead doesn’t care, but he’s glad the Terrabyte can be fed now.
