What’s your company’s lingo?

By Charles Martin | April 22, 2008

Is your company so advanced that it has created a new set of words and phrases that others in your industry have subscribed to?

I’ve been noticing that just about every reality show on television with a contest uses two phrases that Simon Cowell coined — “competition” as in “This competition is about people like you…” instead of the old vernacular “show”.  The other one is “play it back” which is a British term for “replay”.  Now, you hear these phrases on all the shows.

Create your own words and then spread the seeds.  People will spread your gospel without even knowing it.
