Let’s Help Lorrie Out

[UPDATE (2/7-10am)! -- You did good!  We will send a couple hundred to Lorrie early next week.  If I get any responses from her, I'll send them to you.  Keep hitting the donate button throughout the weekend if you can! UPDATE (2/5-10am)! -- Money continues to grace my inbox!  You all will have awesome days and the green light in today's traffic jam will stay green just that much longer THANK YOU! -- emailed with reporter.  He is very happy for Lorrie and thankful for you. [UPDATE (2/4-6pm)! -- Let's see if we can raise $200 by close of business Friday 6 Feb. That's just 40 of us. I'll update the page as I continue to get donations. Thanks to P. Wasserman, my friend in PA, for the first $5! And thanks to Hollywood BC for the continued push and ideas to get micro donations going through our mutual want for giving and love of the web. I saw the following story on NBC the other night.  It touched me.  A regular gal in some ugly circumstances.  Mother nature took her literally by storm.  Kentucky hasn’t seen snow like this in years, maybe decades. I contacted the reporter and have subsequently received permission from Lorrie Tucker (in the video) to send money directly to her.  She wants to try and pay me back, but I’m not interested. She is sending me a prayer though.

Watch the video.  Again, it’s no miraculous circumstance but surely something none of us would want to endure.  She houses older family members and they are struggling to stay warm right now.  They’re normal people recently laid off trying to make ends meet.   Lorrie said there would be no power until early next week.
