Qik really takes it to the next level

Saturday, March 28th, 2009

I just finished updating my profile at QIK. This really is a full bore service app for the future.  Imagine being able to ask your honey which honeydew melon to buy LIVE! I think the application for business is unlimited as well.  If you have enough memory you could very well deliver a full meeting [...]

End of month closings

Saturday, March 28th, 2009

Back to the sales gig. It’s March 28 and like any sales guy, I am hoping for a few new hits before we pull the curtain on the month.  The economy isn’t that bad if you have the right tools.  We are seeing a level of interest but across our company, no giants have signed [...]

Friends, I know a mom that’s a mom like any out there.  Hard working family gal. Good friend to all. We’ll call her J. J was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma a few weeks ago. Now, you and I know and hear of many of these stories and I don’t see J or her husband enough but [...]

Zappos Powerpoint

Wednesday, March 18th, 2009

Also, see the Sunni Brown graphic recording too.  A shout out to my sis-in-law, she is right behind Sunni in fame with these.  Hire [...]

Fedex’s Free Resume Offer — no thanks

Monday, March 9th, 2009

What’s wrong with this picture? FedEx announced today that they will print 25 resumes for free for any job seeker so in need. As discussed before, the resume is dying a slow death. The idea of sending the information electronically or through the long tail (like how this blog basically represents who I am) is [...]

Charity/Giving : Why we do what we do

Monday, March 9th, 2009

Thinking lately on the legs of success with some university guy stuff, why we do what we do?  “Beacause it’s right” ? What’s right? “Because God tells me to do it” ? “Guilt”? The reasons are interesting to me.  I’m motivated by the interesting metrics of it.  The calculations of it.  Drop a seed and [...]

Letter from Lorrie Tucker

Monday, March 9th, 2009

For all that donated to Lorrie’s cause, I give you this.  Good work guys.  Please replace my name with yours as you read it.  Now… wasn’t that better than the $5 donut you bought today?  I’m working on a new recipient idea and will put that out soon.  Stay tuned.
