September is make up month

By Charles Martin | August 31, 2009

The great Coldplay song “Swallowed in the Sea” reminds me that I wanted to post to all of the HH readers and suggest we all go out and make up with someone that we’ve cut off or ousted from our lives.  Recently.  A long time ago.

Rebuild the bridge the way you want.  Just enough to get across and shake hands.  Hug.  Then make it gone.  Or make it big and enjoy the parts of that person you always liked and ignore the rest.  (for god sakes that what everyone does with the hothead!) Or work to renew and find, like we always do, that it was stupid anyway.

The key is to create warmth and kindness and I promise you’ll absolutely be further and greater than you were the minute before you did.

I secretly give great credit to a dear friend for doing this recently.  Four lives were bettered by his/her actions and it’s so great — I think anyway.

“… you belong with me… not swallowed in the sea…”
