Something great is about to happen to restaurants in LA

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

@culinaryfreedom is the new, hot, thing.  I can’t tell you much more but keep your eyes and ears on this space along with Twitter.  Soon, everyone will be naming their own price.

The mods have it

Thursday, August 20th, 2009

I worked a mod the other day for a friend of a friend of a friend and low and behold you CAN not pay your mortgage for 13 months and get away with it.  Not only that, we were successful in getting new terms after this with the standard 3 mo. forbearance.  I’m certainly not [...]

Keep fighting

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

Just this week (and it’s only Tuesday) I won two wars. An errant mark dropped on my bureau thanks to BofA and their egregious efforts to keep everyone in line in this economy.  I fought at every level and after two attempts and appeals at the highest office, I received a letter (do they still [...]

You’re an expert

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

Some great news is abound right now. There are so many specialists that are unemployed that the experts could fill the Rose Bowl and the parking lot would hold the runoff.  It’s big folks. Take heed that if you are one of the “lucky” laid off, you might find that you can escalate your status [...]

What does your Pandora station list say about you?

Monday, June 1st, 2009

Pandora.  The great elixir of radio-dom.  If this thing ever gets on your car radio, Sirius is toast.  Siriusly. I’m noticing that my Pandora station list is starting to look like a large Arkansas family with different teeth missing but still the same gene mapping.  I have found that what Pandora purports to do — [...]

Don’t you just love the “small” guy?

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

I saw this in a daily report I get on the goings on in the digital world.  Notice that it says AT&T is looking to extend… not the other way around.  Big telco needs a friend.  Isn’t it fuzzy and sad?  I love the fact that Apple probably has EVERY major telco on their door [...]

Chipotle’s new online ordering falls short

Saturday, April 4th, 2009

I ordered last night from Chipotle’s new online ordering system.  We love their food.  It’s always good. Simple, but good.  It’s a nice respite from the usual Friday night Mexican restaurant fare.  No margies though. I ordered online by going through a simple interface that let me name each order for the appropriate person. I [...]
